Nina's 25th Birthday Bash at Bagaberde

Monday night is Nina night at Bagaberde, Pasig but last October 31 was special since it was not just a gig night but Nina's 25th Birthday Celebration as well.

As expected, the NSSians didn't pass up the opportunity to come to Baga that night. Preparations started days before... Actually, inannounce yung event a month before but we only started making the gifts nung super lapit na nung araw... Sharon started collecting pictures from everyone for the mosaics, which we later on made into a Butterfly card and a poster, Sharon and Ate Charade filmed their birthday greetings for Eckang to compile, and the moderators were in charge of the cake and the program for that night... Aside from the gift preparations, Ate Ina booked her flight from Bacolod, Chloe arranged the Arrival party for Ate Ina (actually, si Chloe lang yung sumundo), and I organized the get-together lunch and send-off party for Diana.. which wasn't very organized at all... Haha! Eh kasi naman mga tamad magreply sa text!

Anyhow, after our long lunch in Dencio's, we dropped off Diana in her ate's house in Makati, stayed at my place for a bit to finish the card and wrap our gifts.. and off we went to Bagaberde. We arrived in two groups. Dan's group (Dan, Jigs, Stephen, Summer, Kuya Totie, Ate Ina, Ate Chloe) arrived in Baga at around 8 and we (Mids, Ate Joyce, Xiao, Carlos and Athan) got there around 830. Ate Arvee, Peaches and Blush were already there and they saved the two tables in front for the NSSians. (Haha! Kapal muks talaga!) Yadda arrived in a bit.

The angels were also there when we arrived... Angels nila Nina, Nyoy and King.. Present were Angela, Arianne, Mingky, Neve, Nike, Krista, Camille Ann, Angel and Ria. The mods, Kuya Randy (our webmaster!) and Kuya Josh, as well as Kuya William, arrived din. (ayoko na sabihin na moderator si Kuya William, magrereact na naman si Willie Boi eh! Hehe)

Nyoy's set started at around 930. He was wearing a costume inspried by the movie The Matrix kaya nabansagan siyang NEOY for that night. He sang some songs from his soon-to-be-released album and they sound really nice (Walang hihirit!!!!!) so I suggest everyone should get a copy.

Nina got there at around 1130 and she started at exactly 12 mindight. She was about to greet everybody when Li'l Joey (DJ of Magic 89.9) interrupted her to host her little suprise. The angels and the NSSians presented the cakes and the gifts (much to Ate Arvee's SHOCK and delight.. hehehe..). After which, Nina sang Sunshine!

Most of the songs she performed were from the Nina Live album, such as Sweet Thing, Stay (with me), Sunlight, Cool With You, Constantly, Love Moves In Mysterious Ways and Through The Fire. She also sang with Nyoy (wala nga lang kiss, sayang!) -- ganda ng Fallin! -- and she also sang We Belong Together and I Believe I Can Fly.

After her set, [span style=\'color:orange\']Orange[/span] and [span style=\'color:yellow\']Lemons[/span] took the stage and started off with The Cure's hit, Friday I'm In Love. They perofrmed a lot of New wave songs and, grabe, enjoy ako! Hahaha! Of course, they also sang the ever-famous Pinoy Ako and everybody, Ate Nina included, had a grand time.

After the performances, we all took our turns having our pictures taken with the very tired Nina. Buti nga kahit papano nakangiti pa rin siya. We also met the other family members and Nina's pretty siamese cat, Patience.

Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end... That was around 4 AM na. Grabe, eto yung isa sa mga mtagal na paalaman na naencounter ko.. Ang tagal mag-goodbye ng mga tao! Aalis na raw pero di lumalabas ng Baga, di sumasakay ng kotse, di umaalis ng parking lot. Haha!

It was all good... Very worth the puyat...

Next year ulit! Hahahahahahahaha!!!!
