Guyz ask ko lang opinion nyo..maraming write ups at comments na nagsasabing si nina ang mariah carey of the philipines? sa tingin nyo dapat bang ganon?or do you think much better na ma-acknowledge talent nya away from the shadow of mariah?

i think its not proper to compare nina to mariah carey...
its like stereotyping kasi..
our soul siren has her distinct style and charisma in singing ..
that's way far to be compared to other artists..
di ba ..

i think an artist should establish a unique and distinct identity in order to stay long in the business.... ung mga pagaya-gaya lang, walang pupuntahan.

well, hindi siguro maiiwasan na i-compare cia ng iba kay mariah carey... pero actually, nakakatuwa naman kapag kinucompare ka kay mariah eh di ba gusto rin ni nina si mariah? yun nga lang, alam naman natin na iba pa rin yung me sarili syang style...na meron naman talaga cia... okei lang na icompare cia... nakaka-flatter nga yu eh... pero she will always be the soul siren... yun yung identity nya... |

flattering yun..kappag nacompare xa kay mariah..even mariah will agree is she'll see her perform and whistle..but the thing is, NINA is different..mariah carey is mariah carey it also goes na NINA is NINA.and she can do more than whistling..she can dance...etc..but i think she really is a diva...hehehehe

i agree with alot of ur comments...it is a compliment 2 be compared to mariah carey, but I think NINA has her own style apart from mariah..she may have some qualities that mariah has, but NINA also her her own uniqueness to her...her lower soothing voice sets her apart from other female artists in the philippines..i just hope that she is more successul in what she does!!!

kung sa bagay mariah is one of the most respected if not the most respected female singers in the world...as in yung mga styles nya na unique at bagong taste na inintroduce nya na hindi typical singing like ng whistle...she has sold more album than any other female artits...see its such a priviledge to be compared to such a figure...we shud be proud of that at least...kaya nga lang not to the extent na she will be enclosed sa shell ni mariah....kaya nga sya soul siren eh...kasi she's so distinct...

like i said before..
nina should nt be tagged with other artists..
coz if we do that ..
she won't have her own identity anymore..
as her fan...
we should see her as distinct from
the rest of the so called divas..
with her own style...
with her own charisma..
and with her own vocal capacity..
we should LOVE her not
bcoz she reminds us of some foreign artists
or what ...
but bcoz we see something in her ..
that we can't find from any other singers....
