kasi, after i read a specific chapter of the said book, parang... i felt like, it was an anti-christ book, di nyo ba pansin.. ? The book was criticizing Jesus and the Church..

I've read the book, and all I can say is this:

if your faith isn't strong, DON'T READ IT.

I've read the book and I say it's a good one. But I think this book is for people who are open-minded. I didn't see the thought of it being an anti-Christ book it's just a novel (fiction). Actually National Geographic had a Documentary about the book entitled "Unlocking Da Vinci's Code: Separating Facts  from Fiction". If you have any plans on reading it I suggest read "Angels and Demons" first also by Dan Brown. But if you are immature and sensitive on topics about religion, don't even think about laying your hands on these novels or else....

I think the movie will be on theaters in 2006 and it's Tom Hanks who plays the role of Robert Langdon.

[span style=\'color:blue\']I've read the book and found nothing satanic about it.

The reader should just put it in perspective...for one, it's meant to entertain, and the book is popular because of its writing/story quality...another, many writers have wrote about the Holy Grail, even before Dan Brown did, and this version created a chaos because of, again, its entertainment value (one cannot distinguish fact from fiction since the persona in the book are fiction but the Louvre and everything in it is real and existing)...third, I don't recommend it for reading by teenagers who are still in the process of discovering and harnessing their religion (not to mention knowing their own self) as it may bring disillusion to rather confused young minds...

Yup, the movie has started shooting early this year...at first, it was mel gibson who was going to play Langdon, but then it turned out that the role landed on Tom Hanks. [/span]

I really hate reading books but these two novels changed it all... These are actually the first novels that I've read in my entire life... Wink
I suggest you also read "Angels and Demons" Don't worry it has nothing to do w/ real demons(a metaphor) Tongue . It's theme is more on the Leaders of the Church. I say it's not for the faint-heartd  It's a bit brutal shall I say.... I guess that's why they didn't make a film on this one... I'll try to upload the eBooks that I have and post the link here. They're on pdf format and you can use adobe acrobat to read them. For now I have to sleep... just got home from work...
