pork asado - pork barbecue?

ingredients:
1 kilo pork (liempo or kasim)
3/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup water
tomato ketchup
hot sauce
salt & pepper to taste
1. cut pork either into wide & thin slices or into cubes. (i usually use wide, thin slices for asado, parang porkchop)
2. mix pork, brown sugar soy sauce & water. add salt & pepper. add ketchup depending on how much sourness and redness you want to add (i use just a tablespoon or two). add 2-3 drops of hotsauce (again, it depends on how spicy you want it to be).
3. simmer in low heat until the sauce thickens and the pork is ready to eat (malambot). check and stir it once in a while to make sure the sauce doesn't stick on the pan or it doesn't dry up..
*you can add more brown sugar, soy sauce and water if you want more sauce or sabaw..
4. if you decide not to cook your 1 kilo of pork asado, you can use the remaining marinated portions for grilling. just add more ketchup and hot sauce to make it redder. brush the pork with the marinade/mixture while grilling - tada barbecue na! hehe
