The Nina and You!

We're all in this forum because of one thing, WE LIKE/LOVE NINA amongst all! (or i guess to some of us..)
Becoming a fan can be so addicting (at least in my opinion), it gets to the point where you put aside things just to see your idol perform. Youre late to work coz s/he is on TV... so on so forth.. My point major point is, its Nina before all.. funny eh?!

How long have you been idolizing the Soul Siren Nina? And what good and bad thing(s) has it done to you?!

how long? ----- when her single jealous came out! I saw it in net25 (#1 ata yung song nun dun). Ayun! Addict na ko! Then i bought her pirated album... (sorry na!) pero lahat ng album ko ngayon ay ORIG na ha.... (PROMISE!)

good -- ahm... ano nga ba? siguro masarap sa pakiramdam na may isang tao na pagnarinig mo sa radio/tv ay nagiging masaya ka.. (drama ni kuya!) nakatanggal ng stress...

bad --- naku.. buti di pa ko nagwowork... cguro yung magastos... syempre dapat orig bilhin mo para maganda ang quality at pangmatagalan... ayun... kuripot pa naman akjo... pero pag may bagong album! WALDAS! hahaha... lagi ako pinapagalitan kasi inuubos ko daw ang pera ko kay nina... hahahaha... hirap talaga ng buhay estudyante eh... pag nagkawork na ko... wala ng magagalit sa akin... hehehe...

Ako... ever since foolish heart pa lang i liked her na... Complete ko ang lahat ng album niya and they are all originals... ;-) go nina!!!

gusto ko na si nina nung jealous palang unang kanta nya. the best kase eh, sa lahat ng singer sa pinas sa kanya lang talaga ako sobrang humanga. yung pagnakita mo at napakinggan sya magiging masaya ka.

medyo nakakatawa yung story ko about this...una ko nakilala si Nina when I saw her songs in a song mag...i was so busy that time that I did not have any knowledge kung ano sikat sa chart...medyo natawa ako dun sa ginawang lay out ng mag kasi yung picture sa tabi ng lyrics  ng kung ibibigay sa'yo ay hindi bagay sa image ni nina being displayed on the mag...sabi ko pa sa sarili ko na sobrang baduy nung lay-out....as i went to the succeding pages, nagtaka ako kung bakit sobrang dami ng songs ni Nina dun Jealous, Foolish Heart, Loving You...napaisip na lang ako na baka ipino-promote lang si Nina ng mag...after a week, when I turned on the radio, eksaktong pinatugtog yung Jealous which was number one that time...sobrang nagustuhan ko yung song...i thought i was listening to a foreign artist coz nina really sounded like an american singer...she doesn't have an accent...after the song was played then the DJ recap the top 10 songs and that's the time I learned that I just heard the smash hit Jealous. Dun nagsimula yung pagiging adik ko kay Nina...it was so happen na may isang obsess fan si Nina dun sa dorm namin kaya sa kanya ako nanghihiram ng cassette tape...hehehe...for every body's info i tried to stop myself of liking this artist...when she had a mall tour, i really went there just to see her and prove to myself that the songs I always listening to from her were all engineered and that nobody can sound that angelic...but i failed, kasi mas lalong maganda boses niya pag live...and in fairness Nina is really really beautiful...akala ko dun na matatapos obsession ko sa kanya pero kabaliktaran yung outcome dahil mas lalo ko pa siyang nagustuhan...so i bought my first cassette tape Nina Smile and then Nina Heaven tapos Nina live...psensiya na po kasi walkman lang meron ako that time...hehehe...I already have my laptop and ipod now...so i bought all her CDs just to satisfy myself...pero di pa rin ako satisfied...i want her songs to be played kahit tulog ako...hindi ako nagsasawa...kaya galit ako sa mga record bars bakit wala pa rin new album ni Nina...

bad thing --- obsessed ako kay Nina but I dont see it as a bad thing because of Nina i have learned to love OPM songs. She redefined OPM music into something classy and unique.

Seven years. Before, I was a fan of Kyla. I was starting to be an active member of her forum when I saw a link to Nina's site on someone's signature. I checked it out. I like Nina but at that time, I like Kyla better. Then I posted here, listened to her songs, watched videos and I was hooked. The thing is that I love Nina's fans better than Kyla's. When I was posting there, I would always read about them posting negative things about other music artists whereas in NSS, mababait talaga yung mga fans and may respeto sa ibang music artists. I'm not saying na ganun lahat ng fans ni Kyla but karamihan sa mga nagpopost sa forum niya the time that I registered there.
