Nina in transit

How do you top a multi-platinum live covers album? Well, you simply
go back to doing original material. This exactly is what singer Nina
did and it seems fans are responding well.

The new (rather imaginatively titled) Nina album, the singer's
fourth, is very much a veritable collection of newly minted songs
with nary a cover in sight. Of course, suffice it to say that Warner
Music Philippines pulled all stops to come out with an album that
could stand loud and proud among Nina's last three albums. No mean
feat considering that all of it had reached platinum level sales
wise.

"Nina is a special artist. Although people nowadays know her more
for singing all these beautiful cover songs she is out to prove she
can do more with this new album. We are only happy to give her our
whole-hearted support," opines Neil Gregorio, A and R head for the
record company.

They are on the right track.

"I Do," the first single off the album, a happy pop-RnB romp written
by none other than Nyoy Volante was embraced heartily by fans
pushing it into the higher echelons of the charts. Apparently this
augured well for the more subdued vibes of the second
single, "Someday"/i]
