EMOTIONS - one of the hardest song to sing... who could just pull out those whistles? only mariah can.. well, just waiting for Nina to sing it.. XD i think she can do the whistles..
UNDERNEATH THE STARS - a very beautiful ballad..
CIRCLES and MINE AGAIN - just great! the vocals, the message, everything!
MY ALL - the nondying ballad.. that's my favorite!
and of course, who would forget
VISION OF LOVE - called the Magna Carta of Melisma... hahah!

well, i just love everything about Mariah.. just as I love everything about Nina..

they're almost at the same league, vocal-wise...

she's the best performer of all time! she's my old time favorite singer! no doubt about it! she can still hit highnotes and whistle effortless!
and i've heard that when Nina was still young, EMotions is the song na kinakanta nya to practice her highnotes and her whistle register! probably that's why she can do whistles!

oh? nice! sana kantahin nya ang Emotions sa gigs nya.. kahit once lang..
and yah! she's the best performer of all time! though her voice changed through the years, it's still the same {correct me if i'm wrong} 5-octave vocal range.. actually i think that it's expanding, because she is now able to hit very low notes.. just listen to her singing the song Vision of Love in 2005... search it on youtube.. she did a very low note before the finale.. the best!

and i'm waiting for the comeback of whitney houston...

MARIAH CAREY WITHDRAWS FROM MOVIE, FUELS BABY RUMORS

Mariah Carey abruptly pulled out of her role in Tyler Perry's new film this week, People has learned, sparking renewed speculation the singer/actress is pregnant. Carey, who won acclaim for her work in Precious, was set to appear in the adaptation of Ntozake Shange's 1975 play For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf. Filming was set to start next month.
But on Tuesday Carey abruptly withdrew from the project. "I'm not at liberty to discuss her personal life at this time," Carey's spokeswoman Cindi Berger says, declining to give a reason for Carey's withdrawal.
